Dr. Peter Wittenberg brings over fifty years of expertise in development and implementation of large research and data infrastructures.
He was responsible for the implementation of large research/data infrastructures such as DOBES, CLARIN and EUDAT. He is the co-founder of the Research Data Alliance and director of RDA Europe, co-founder of the FAIR Digital Object Forum and co-author of several key strategy papers on data management (EU: Riding the Wave of Scientific Data, FAIR Principles, EU: Turning FAIR into Reality).
From 1976 to 2012 he was director of the technical group of about 35 experts in the field of psycholinguistics at the Max-Planck-Society (MPG), studying how the brain processes language. Peter has a background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (TU Berlin).
